About
“Love at first feel.”
This describes how my love affair with clay began, which has now spanned four decades. Through a myriad of workshops, classes at the Nova Scotia College of Art and Design, Halifax, NS, and years of studio experience, I have honed my craft to produce distinctive functional and decorative ware.
I now live in the Gaspereau Valley area of Nova Scotia. The subtle variations, rhythms, and patterns of this engaging landscape inform my work as I strive to create pieces that add beauty to your home and enhance your food presentations.
I use medium-fired stoneware and porcelain clay fired in an electric kiln. My functional ware can be used safely in the oven as long as abrupt temperature changes are avoided. (Do not place ware directly from freezer into oven.)
“When you put your hand against my pots you are palm to palm with the artist.” -Nadine Gordimer
I invite you to embrace this awareness as you hold and use the works of art in your life.
